Scope

This policy covers BarMagic, BarMagic Helper, this legal website and support email. Menu bar management takes place on your Mac. Website visits, support emails and Apple purchases involve separate data processing.

Data processed on your Mac

• Menu bar item names, positions, owning app identifiers and process information support the item list, layout, search, hiding and clicking. Helper accesses menu bar items using the Accessibility permission you grant in System Settings.
• Pointer position, scroll and click events support enabled reveal options. While a bar or search panel is open, click and Esc events also determine when to dismiss it. The app does not store typed keyboard content.
• Preferences, hiding rules and profiles, including app identifiers and section rules, are stored in the local app container. You choose where imported or exported profile files are located.
• Diagnostics include local action history and scan information. Helper writes state information to the system log (os_log). You may export a diagnostic report containing app and item names and process information to a location you choose. Review its contents before sharing.

The app requires no account. It has no advertising, behavioral analytics, tracking or automatic crash-reporting service, and no feature that automatically uploads the menu bar, configuration or diagnostic data described above to a developer server.

Apple purchases and subscriptions

Apple App Store and StoreKit handle subscriptions; related system services may communicate with Apple. The app reads product information, transaction verification results, subscription status and offer eligibility to display purchase options and unlock features. It does not upload purchase records to a developer server. The developer does not obtain your card details or full payment information through the app. Apple handles account, payment and transaction information under its own policies: Apple Privacy Policy.

Legal website and external links

Cloudflare Pages hosts this legal website. When you visit, Cloudflare may process your IP address, request time, browser information and request logs to deliver pages, protect the service and troubleshoot issues. This is separate from the app's local processing. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. We have added no analytics scripts, advertising or tracking tools to this legal website. External sites such as Apple and MacGo apply their own privacy policies.

Support email

If you email serve@macgo.cn, we and email service providers process your email address, message and attachments you choose to send to answer questions, troubleshoot and handle requests. Do not send passwords or full payment details. Messages are retained as needed to handle your request and keep necessary records. Contact this address to request access, correction or deletion; we will handle requests subject to applicable law and necessary retention requirements.

Your choices

Uninstall Helper in app settings and revoke Accessibility permission in System Settings. Removing the app's container data removes local preferences and profiles; delete exported files separately. Cancel subscriptions separately in your Apple Account: uninstalling the app does not cancel them. Contact the address above to request access, correction or deletion of information you supplied by email.
